Southampton Greenway a MassTrails Priority!

Earlier this year MassTrails announced its “Priority Trails Network Vision” a list of trails it is prioritizing for development because of their strategic impact in connecting the state’s existing network… and the Southampton Greenway is on the list!  Here is an interactive map developed by Mass Trails, which lets users view the state’s existing and envisioned rail trail network:

MassTrails is an inter-agency initiative of the Commonwealth led by the Governor’s Office in collaboration with the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, the Department of Transportation and the Department of Conservation and Recreation. Among other things, a generous MassTrails grant is helping to fund the first phase of design work on the Southampton Greenway.
